Shri Jagannath Society of North Carolina (SJSNC), a charitable non-profit registered as IRS 501(c)(3) organization, established in 2017 with a mission is to serve the regional Hindu community by promoting centuries old Jagannath Dharma (Culture) as well as cultural, educational, social and charitable activities.

Our Objectives

Install and maintain Hindu Deities in form of idols of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Shubhadra at the Hindu Temple (hereafter referred as the Temple), established and operated by Hindu Center of Charlotte (hereafter referred as HCCLT) and/or other locations as decided by the society.

Worship the deities based on the rituals as recommended by Shri Purushottama-Kshetra (Puri, Odisha, India).

Follow the Jagannath Dharma traditions for religious gatherings including education, worship, practices and rituals.

Perform annual Car Festival (Rath Yatra) at the facilities of HCCLT and/or other locations in coordination with HCCLT and other religious organizations.
